My work

King - Candy Crush Solitaire
King - Candy Crush Friends Saga
King - Candy Crush Jelly Saga
King - Candy Crush Soda Saga

This is the second game in the Candy Crush Saga series.
After six months of parental leave, I was part of starting up this project.
The original candy crush engine was rewritten and improved. Actionscript for browsers, c++ for mobile devices.
While improving, I added cool physics to the system. With physics added, new game modes was invented.
My part in this game was mainly focused on gameplay. Ranging from having creative ideas to prototyping and final implementation.

King - Candy Crush Saga

This is the facebook saga version of the Candy Crush game.
My part in this project was the ingame part. I enhanced the original game with new game modes and gameplay elements.
I also developed an easy to use level editor.
I worked on this game for over a year. During that period, teammates joined, some left, babies were born and king.com
multipled its number of employees.

King - Bubble Witch Saga

This is the facebook saga version of the game called Bubble Witch.
My part in this project was to develop the system for the world map.
The player progresses along a path, through various episodes, unlocks new levels and passes friends on the way.
The path, level stations and episode locks are created mostly automatically with minimal work from the graphics artist. Even the effects, like the ocean waves, swimming fishes, flying birds and ghosts are created dynamically.
I'm quite proud of the solution.

King - Mahjong Saga

My part in this mahjong game on facebook was to implement all of the various popups and the system for handling them.
Since this project used vector graphics, I made the popups scale and reposition themselves and their content dynamically in order to look good in all languages.

King - Midas Miner Speed, facebook implementation

Midas Miner Speed is one of the first games king.com made available on facebook.
My task was to enhance the original game with powerups and equip it with social functions.

Facebook adaptation:

King - Fairy Solitairy

An ordinary solitaire with super cute characters.

Code: Magnus Hansson.
Graphics: Mia Tinglöf.

King - Pyramid

Pyramid is the remake of the original Pyramid card game on king.com, with new fresh graphics, a new story and a bonus mode.
The player should clear as many levels as possible in about four minutes time, releasing golden scarabs which are later used in the bonus mode. The collected scarabs are key to progress through the story.
I'm especially fond of the bonus mode, where the scarabs are running around, bumping into eachother.

Code: Magnus Hansson.
Graphics: Jörgen Wänerskär, Niklas Malmqvist.

King - Pyramid Speed

This is the speed version of the card game called Pyramid.
In one minute, the player should collect as many cards in as long series as possible.
Three different types of scarab powerups are hidden behind certain cards and the player need to utilize them for higher scores.
This was my first game on king.com and I'm really happy with how it turned out. I am quite proud of it =)

Code: Magnus Hansson.
Graphics: Niklas Malmqvist.

Squeaky Games, Asstoad Productions

Squeaky Games was a cellphone games development group of students, working evenings due to university studies.
I was involved in all programming; engine, gameplay, gui, level editor, localization.
We started as Asstoad Productions, but changed name to Squeaky Games when publishing our games.
We were active from 2005 until 2008.

Squeaky Games - Blowbo's Adventure

This is a mobile phone platform game where you play as Blowo, a fish that wants to pop bubbles. Most platforms in the game are some sort of spinning wheels, whether it is spinning flowers or spinning eyes (the fourth world had a horror theme).
Blowbo's Adventure won second price for Mobile Games at the Swedish Game Awards 2005. It was later released through the chinese Magma Digital, and the french Wonderphone as publishers.
